One of the main goals with the Silva Screenprinting redesign was to generate new business. We knew an important part of this was to showcase their great screen printing work.

To accomplish this we developed a rotating image gallery using jQuery where visitors to the site will see the different types of screen printing available to them in a visually striking, fun, and easy-to-use way.

We also focused the redesign on search engine optimization and improving Silva's visibility for common searches regarding screen printing. Since the redesign Silva has seen a marked increase in both search engine traffic and new customers!

Silva also wanted existing customers to be able to register and login to see content tailored specifically to them. We used the DotNetNuke content management platform to allow for easy to manage user roles and permissions.

With this redesign the Hennepin County Attorney's office wanted a better overall experience to new and frequent users of the site. One of the primary goals was to surface important information on the site that was deeper within the page structure and to reorganize the site's navigation.

Working with the Attorney's Office, we created several new areas on the site, including on the homepage, to link to information deeper within the site.

Another aspect of improving the site's information architecture was to add a homepage rotator to the homepage to highlight new and important information on the site. We also added the most recently published news item next to the rotator to make sure visitors to the site see the latest news item.

Part of the redesign included customizing the DotNetNuke blog module to appear on the homepage in addition to an archive of articles on the News & Press page.

Magnetic Poetry has a game on its site approximating the experience of the physical Magnetic Poetry Kits. The game is used by both kids and adults. But the previous version of the game wasn't very usable and didn't have any sharing features. So our primary goals for re-making the game were to make it easier to create poems and easier to share them.

We used HTML and jQuery to build a game that works across browsers and devices. We also added the ability to save your poem and share with a friend via email and Facebook.

Playing the game is easy. Just click and drag the magnets around on the surface until the poem is ready and then click the Save & Share button, which brings up a dialog box where you can enter you and your friend's details.
